JOB SUMMARY:

The Manager of Corporate and Community is responsible for managing a sector(s) of the Corporate and Community department fundraising. From community fundraising events to cause marketing campaigns and third-party fundraising advocacy, this leader is responsible for continuing revenue generation by building revenue and strategy to support department 8+ figure multi-year outcome gifts or as defined by management.

This position manages a team responsible for the successful execution of strategies to engage community and meet philanthropic goals:

- Manages team to expand Children's Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH) partners and/or corporate sponsorships to increase revenue.

- Implement community and/or corporate outreach strategies to increase public awareness of and fundraising at all levels for Rady Children's Hospital. This includes annual fundraising events/activities such as 5K walk, third-party events, holiday give-a-thon, light the way, activation month initiatives and other opportunities to build a culture of philanthropy, increase corporate sponsorships, and in-kind giving program.

- Contribute to strategies that promote Rady Children's Hospital as the charity of choice in San Diego. This includes community group engagement, opportunities for corporate and community volunteerism.

- Manage team that supports Auxiliary units (1200+ members) and/or other third-party fundraising efforts that operate under the Foundation's 501(c)(3) to comply with hospital policies and procedures.

- Builds a peer to peer and community and/or corporate event based fundraising strategies to ensure event and team meets philanthropic goal

- This position is considered a lead frontline fundraiser responsible for soliciting individuals and/or community groups with capacity of $100K+; manage an active portfolio of at least 20-50 prospects.

- Maintains an active awareness of goals, objectives, and direction of the development program as a whole. Contributes towards team strategies to meet or exceed department performance standards. Execute special projects as assigned by the by the Chief External Affairs Officer/Executive Director and/or supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree

5 Years of Experience

CA Driver's License

Experience in a fundraising setting and managing a team/direct reports

Experience with corporate/community solicitation and program development

Detail-oriented and team player

Works efficiently under pressure; meets deadlines; demonstrates strategic thinking and good decision-making, as well as an entrepreneurial spirit

Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed

Articulate, poised and possesses strong writing skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's Degree

10+ Years of Experience

Knowledge around Blackbaud and/or other non-profit applications

The current salary range for this position is $50.43 to $69.35
