Manager (RN) - NICU CHET (Children's Hospital Emergency Transport)

Under the Unit/Department Directors' supervision, this position is assigned managerial
responsibilities for the NICU or PICU CHET team. These responsibilities include coordination and
operation of the Emergency Transport Program for the organization. In addition, responsibilities
include leading, managing and overseeing daily operational activities of the program. Supports the
overall business plan by monitoring team and program performance and outcomes. Works closely
with outside vendors to establish effective programmatic relationships. Ensures immediate response
to requests for transport from the community on a 24/7 basis. Ensures safety standards and
competency requirements for both teams are met. Assumes 24-hour responsibility for the entire
emergency transport program, both Neonatal and Pediatric. Serves as a liaison between referral
facilities and hospital administration regarding emergency transport response and other
pediatric/neonatal specific needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree
5 Years of Experience
Adv Cardiac Life Support (AHA)
BLS for Health Providers (AHA)
Ped Adv Life Support Prov(AHA)
C-NPT certification (within 6 mos. of hire)
Must be a team member on the department/unit for which candidate is applying or have previous leadership experience
Previous transport experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree
NRP (AAP)
California RN or RT license: If RT license – Registered Respiratory Therapist & Respiratory Care Practitioner
2 years previous leadership experienc
The current salary range for this position is $64.37 to $88.51
