Medical Assistant (MA) (Per-Diem) - Pulmonology

Position is for Casual (temporary) Clinical Medical assistant in the Pulmonary Clinic at Rady Children’s Medical Office Building in San Diego. Position is full time and casual dates are from 9/14/2025 and ends 11/7/2025. Preferred experience in working in a peds pulmonary clinic. 

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direct supervision of a licensed care practitioner, the Medical Assistant provides and documents clinical care and associated tasks. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal care is provided in a quality environment to patients and families. Utilizes appropriate age and developmental approach in application of care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma, GED or foreign equivalent

One year of experience

Current CPR/BLS Certification (American Heart Association)

Medical Assistant Program/Certificate (Polinsky only)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Two years of experience

Advanced knowledge of medical terminology; experience with data entry and clinical computer systems

Pediatric experience in inpatient, outpatient or long-term care setting

Bilingual English/Spanish

The current salary range for this position is $21.00 to $28.88
