Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY:
The Clinical Educator - RN works directly with the leadership team and staff to ensure that the unit's educational needs are met. Collaborates with other Educators/CNS-s to ensure that mechanisms are in place to maintain quality patient care, utilizing specialty and other regulatory standards. Provides staff support and facilitates orientation, continuing education and compliance with standards of care. Serves as an active member on hospital committees related to clinical education. Acts as a role model for professional nursing practice.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree
3 years of experience
Current California RN license
Current BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA
PALS or PEARS for all areas except NICU within six months of hire
Based on the department, the following certification(s) will be required:
1.) NICU Satellites: NRP (AAP) within six months of hire
2.) NICU Main: NRP (AAP) within six months of hire
3.) ED: ACLS within one year of hire or after promoting to CN II, but not required if per diem
At least one year of previous experience as a preceptor
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree
5 years of experience
Five years of previous clinical experience in Pediatrics
ED: ENPC and TNCC
Urgent Care: ENPC
The expected hiring range for this position is $65.93 to $97.83
A candidate’s placement in the range will be determined based on the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
