JOB SUMMARY:

This position will provide guidance, direction, and support to the clinical research nurses, coordinators, and associates in the Hem/Onc Research Resources department. The position requires demonstrated leadership skills and vast knowledge of clinical data, data registries, & clinical research activities related to pediatric hematology and oncology. Responsibilities will include oversight of multiple study protocols, protocol feasibility, study implementation, and enrollment, and management of research staff within the department. This includes coordinating with various State and Federal agencies such as the FDA and the OHRP as well as working closely with the Research Cooperative Groups including but not limited to Children's Oncology Group, St. Jude Research Hospital, American Thrombosis & Hemostasis Network, as well as networking with Sponsors /Pharmaceutical companies. Other responsibilities will be assisting multiple PIs with the day to day aspects of PI-initiated studies. Incumbent will be responsible for inspection readiness activities for Children's Oncology Group (COG), industry sponsored trials and other applicable regulatory body audits and/or meetings. This position is also responsible for overseeing the project budget & day to day operations, as well as acting as a liaison with other departments & agencies for the purpose of implementation of studies. Also responsible for overseeing the quality and integrity of clinical research data. Facilitate education & information concerning all ongoing clinical trials as well as training & monitoring research staff assigned to these protocols. Incumbent will also work closely with the Division leadership, Research Administration Leadership at Rady Children's Hospital & UCSD in planning, identifying & developing new research endeavors for the Hematology/Oncology Department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree

5 Years of Experience

SOCRA or ACRP certification

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's Degree

8 Years of Experience

BLS for Health Providers (AHA)

The expected hiring range for this position is $55.60 to $76.45
