JOB SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, the Pharmacy Clinical Specialist participates as an instrumental member of the healthcare team, working closely with physicians, residents, fellows & nurses to ensure safe, effective, rational & most cost-effective use of medications to the inpatient & clinic pediatric population served by RCHSD. Supervises technicians & other support personnel in proper distribution, storage, & record maintenance related to medication use in the organization, recommending changes to enhance customer service & ongoing quality assurance programs.

MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree

1 Year of Experience

Registered Pharmacist

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Doctorate Degree (non MD)

3 Years of Experience

Completion of a pharmacy practice residency in pediatrics

Pharmacist experience in a pediatric setting

Additional training or certification as appropriate for area of specialty

The current salary range for this position is $70.96 to $97.57
