Senior Director, Behavioral Health Program - Child Adolescent Psychiatry Services

The Senior Director of Inpatient Behavioral Health provides strategic and operational leadership for pediatric behavioral health services, including oversight of inpatient psychiatric units, Crisis stabilization, social work, and child life programs. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed, and family-centered care that meets the complex emotional and psychological needs of children and adolescents. The senior director collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatry, nursing, and allied health professionals, to foster a therapeutic environment that promotes healing and resilience. They are responsible for regulatory compliance, clinical excellence, staff development, and the integration of evidence-based practices across all service lines.
A key expectation of this role is to drive programmatic growth and innovation through strategic visioning and long-term planning. The Senior Director will lead initiatives to expand inpatient capacity, enhance service offerings, and strengthen community partnerships to improve care continuity. They will also champion data-informed decision-making, quality improvement efforts, and workforce sustainability strategies. By aligning departmental goals with the hospital's mission and values, the senior director will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of pediatric behavioral health services and ensuring equitable access to care for diverse patient populations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree
8 Years of Experience
At least five (5) years of administrative or supervisory experience
Broad knowledge of the disciplines represented in the department and of the laws and regulations pertaining to services provided by the department
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctorate Degree (non MD)
10+ Years of Experience
The current salary range for this position is $94.88 to $130.46
