Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Dir, Surgical Services, has the overall responsibility for the management, coordination, planning, and evaluation of the diverse functions and activities of PeriOp, Sterile Processing, and PACU. This involves collaboration with Executive leadership and subordinate staff to plan, implement, and evaluate processes related to performance improvement, staffing effectiveness, fiscal management, staff competence, and customer service outcomes.. Ensures that regulatory requirements/standards are communicated, implemented, and monitored. Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to plan, implement, and evaluate activities related to department and organizational objectives. Responsible for resolving administrative and operational issues outside of the designed scope of the manager(s)/supervisor(s). Models customer service excellence. Participates in rotational on-call duties including, but not limited to, responding to emergency situations, maintenance malfunctions, or staffing situations that require coverage.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
5 Years of Experience
California RN License
Broad knowledge of the disciplines represented in the department and knowledge of all regulatory,legal, and accreditation standards of professional practice in areas of responsibility
Five years in administrative or supervisory experience within PeriOp Services.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required but will also consider a Master's in Business or HealthcareAdministration
Demonstrates excellent leadership, communication, and emotional intelligence skills
Balances competing priorities and multiple projects simultaneously, comfortable operating within tight timelines
Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
6 Years of Experience
The expected hiring range for this position is $94.88 to $130.46
