Ultrasonographer II - Echocardiogram

With minimal supervision, the Ultrasonographer II performs ultrasound examinations on children & adults. Exercises independent judgement & ingenuity to perform a variety of sonographic examinations that require a comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology & sonographic principles. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. The professional level of this healthcare service requires a highly skilled & competent individual who functions as an integral member of the healthcare team. The Ultrasonographer must be able to produce and evaluate ultrasound images & related data that are used by physicians to render a medical diagnosis. The Utrasonographer must acquire and maintain specialized technical skills & medical knowledge to render quality patient care. Serves as a resource for Ultrasonographer I, students and fellows as department need require.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
H.S. Diploma,GED,or Equivalent
2 Years of Experience
BLS for Health Providers (AHA)
Radiology Department-ARDMS (RDMS, RVT) certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire
Cardiology Department-ARDMS (RDCS, PE) certification must be current at time of hire
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's Degree
3 Years of Experience
The expected hiring range for this position is $53.60 to $73.10
