UM Operations Specialist - Utilization Management

Under the supervision of the Director, Utilization Management (UM) Operations & Member Services, the UM Operations Specialist will provide administrative support regarding operational aspects of UM requirements. Work shall include extensive computer work in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and data entry in other software systems. Will be working primarily with the Director, UM Operations & Member Services, but will also assist with projects or activities of related departments, including UM Operations, and UM Clinical. The UM Operations Specialist is expected to have strong computer skills, the ability to communicate in a collaborative and efficient manner, and the ability to effectively prioritize projects and work independently.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
H.S. Diploma,GED,or Equivalent
3 Years of Experience
Experience should be in health care related field
Ability to work accurately with numbers and general knowledge of mathematical calculations including fractions, ratios, percentages, graphs and the metric system.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to use good judgment and demonstrate discretion in the handling of confidential and or sensitive information
Ability to operate office equipment including PC computer, photocopiers, fax machines, and multi-line phone systems. Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook. Excellent keyboard skills including numbers and accuracy of entries.
Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree can be accepted in lieu of experience

The current salary range for this position is $23.10 to $31.77
