Rady Children’s is the first to apply radiation-free MRI cardiac catheterization on the West Coast and offer children and families the first comprehensive pediatric image guided center in the country. Position details:

Schedule: Days, 10-hour shifts

FTE: Full-Time, 80 hours per 2 week pay period

Location: Main Campus

JOB SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, the Cath Lab Tech follows clearly defined procedures to provide support to cardiologists and registered nurses for the execution and technical analysis of procedures performed in the Cardiac Catheterization and EP lab. Integrates education, technical competence, and patient interaction skills to implement safe and precise treatment under the supervision of a cardiologist. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to help deliver optimal patient care. May be responsible for mentoring and training students. Works independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with many interruptions. Functions effectively and performs this position in an emergency situation. Collaborates with other departments such as MRI, ECHO, ICUs, etc. Functions in a proactive and time-sensitive manner and performs well under stress and emergency situations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree
  • 2 Years of Experience
  • BLS for Health Providers (AHA)
  • Graduate of Cardiovascular Technologist program
  • RCIS licensure - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or CVIS- Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
  • Must have a basic knowledge of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias
  • Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions
  • In-depth understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • Well-developed time-management and organizational skills
  • General knowledge of computer applications
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment

Preferred Qualifications:

3 Years of Experience

In depth knowledge of cardiac catheterization tests, mechanics, and equipment

The current salary range for this position is $49.69 to $67.75

A candidate’s placement in the range will be determined based on the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
