JOB SUMMARY:
The Pulmonary division cares for patients with general and complex diagnoses and symptoms with acute and long term diseases. The Pulmonary CMA I, in collaboration with team, performs direct patient care to assigned patients. They manage the flow of clinic and all aspects of care at the clinic visit inclusive of prep, rooming, education and discharge. In addition the CMA I will perform point of care procedures, management of Pulmonology and other medical devices, ongoing patient, family and staff education and coordination of care with outside community agencies. We are looking for someone that is autonomous, collaborative, supportive of teams, educator, customer focused, and solution driven. The CMA I would be joining a large division with a collaborative partnership with Providers and ancillary support staff as well as an engaged and dynamic team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
One year of medical assistant experience
H.S. Diploma, GED, or Equivalent
BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by American Heart Association
Medical Assistant Program/Certificate
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
2 years of experience
Bilingual English/Spanish
Advanced knowledge of medical terminology; experience with data entry and clinical computer systems
Pediatric experience
Ambulatory care experience
The current salary range for this position is $23.10 to $31.77
