This Coordinator role supports the FACES for the Future and youth development programs housed within the Center for Healthier Communities at Rady Children's Hospital San Diego. This position is embedded within a regional high school and works directly with students in this health career pipeline program which provides one on one academic enhancement, wellness support, leadership development and exposure to healthcare professions via job shadowing and career workshops and panels. The ideal candidate for this position has experience in a similar program, has excellent communication skills, time management and logistical skills, has demonstrated experience with program development and evaluation, is analytical and innovative. This position works within the high school environment and well as the office within health services. The coordinator works under the direction of the Supervisor of Youth Development and the Director of the Center for Healthier Communities.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Community Health Programs Coordinator, with oversight from the Program Manager, is responsible for successfully coordinating and implementing the assigned program and/or project(s) including planning and development. In conjunction with supervisor, will coordinate all aspects of program evaluation, including creating and implementing the evaluation strategy and tools; will develop and monitor program budgets and assist with fund development including writing grant applications and/or preparing reports as requested. Coordinator will create and/or oversee the programs' marketing and communication strategy across website, social media, community publications etc. as assigned or needed. Coordinator will work with supervisor to maintain, identify, and/or develop strategic partnerships to support and grow the program and will participate in ongoing department and/or organizational initiatives as requested.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree

2 years of experience

CA Driver's License

Proof of Auto Insurance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's Degree

5 years of experience

Bilingual English and Spanish

The current salary range for this position is $26.74 to $36.78
