JOB SUMMARY:
In conjunction with the Medical Director and Manager, the position of Echo Lab Education and QI Coordinator is responsible for the development and coordination of sonographer education, skill development, maintaining annual sonographer competencies, and implementing a continuous quality improvement (CQI) program within the pediatric and fetal echo labs. This position also works in coordination with the Medical Director and Manager to develop and implement measurable standards of performance within the echo lab for the purpose of sonographer evaluation. Responsible for the orientation program for new RCHSD sonographers and cardiology Fellows. Develops and provides training to sonographers from partner organizations. Organizes the Quality improvement projects and completes registry information. Maintains their own clinical competency by also serving as an active clinical sonographer; is an expert resource for technical and procedural duties.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree
5 years of experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s Degree
7 years of experience
The expected hiring range for this position is $49.23 to $73.06.
A candidate’s placement in the range will be determined based on the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
