End User Services - System Administrator - IM - Infrastructure

The role of the End User Services System Administrator is to manage systems that are used to manage the end user environment. These systems include Microsoft Service Center and image management (SCCM), Mobile Device Management (MDM) applications (i.e. Airwatch, Imprivata Cortext and Haiku), Dell Thin Client Console (WDM), Dell Data Protection Enterprise (DDPE), Asset Management (Lansweeper), application license management, Linux device management (Puppet) and printer management (Autostore).
Each System Administrator will be assigned one or more these systems to manage in accordance to complexity and volume of administrative ongoing work load.
He/she is responsible for managing the platform in accordance with 1) routine tasks, like data base management, system upgrades and interfaces with other systems and patching 2) ongoing maintenance such as PC OS updates, IE updates and utility upgrades and 3) Special project or enterprise changes inclusive of Epic upgrades, Citrix upgrades, AD changes and management integration.Under the general supervision of the Manager, Customer Support Services, and in collaboration with other IT Department Management, Server Engineers, Architects and the Information Security Office, provides technical expertise as it applies to affecting end to end user solutions and coordinating the End Users Services group in that respect. Serves as the overall End User Services group coordinator and communicator regarding standards as may be managed by the systems they are administrating and solutions and any changes or upgrades to end user solutions at an enterprise level.
This position is charged with the responsibility of, and accountability for, providing guidance to the End User Services group regarding short and long term systems solutions to RCHSD as it pertains to end user devices and application access and maintaining reliability/service level operational standards as dictated by IT management. He/she will also assist in the recommendation of End User Services systems administration improvements and changes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's Degree or 4 years of professional information technology experience supporting, troubleshooting, configuring and managing system/network performance in lieu of degree
4 years of experience
Valid California Driver's License and Auto Insurance
Ability to understand and add, modify or troubleshoot all end user devices; this includes smart phones, tablets, PCs, Thin Clients, wireless scanners and various standard and specialty printers
Minimum 4 years of experience leading technical staff in an enterprise environment
Experience with desktop operating systems, including, Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 10 and Office 2007, 2010 and 2013
Experience documenting performance and integration technical solutions
Ability to troubleshoot incidents and manage resolutions
Ability to recognize the best approach to coaching and mentoring based upon factors such as the employee's professional experience and work style
Knowledge of Citrix environment as well as fat client systems; Knowledge of printing systems; Knowledge of end user device enterprise management systems like SCCM, WDM, Airwatch, Imprivata Cortex and Lansweeper
Ability to add, modify and remove printers using CUPS via samba, and socket protocol printing
Ability to effectively coordinate resources and manage day to day operations while maintaining an understanding of the strategic goals of the organization
Ability to make system wide changes using the appropriate tools
Ability to coach and mentor staff of diverse backgrounds
Ability to make sound decisions quickly even when only little information is available
Ability to understand the desktop strategy of the organization and channel the efforts of staff accordingly
Experience supporting computers and Thin Client and Microsoft operating systems in an enterprise environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree
6 years of experience
Comp TIA A+ Certification
Linux Pro Institute Certification
Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist
In addition to the minimum qualifications 4 years of experience, experience managing relevant end user systems consoles or platforms, enterprise computing environment supporting large numbers of users and machines on multiple platforms with a high number of systems and applications
Thorough understanding of challenges commonly encountered in a healthcare environment such as HIPAA compliance, patient safety management and security management
Familiar with common software and associated problems such as Microsoft office, Visio, Excel and MS project
Certifications such as A+ strongly desired
Healthcare experience
Certification in Systems Administration relevant to assignment (Airwatch, SCCM etc.)
The expected hiring range for this position is $41.49 to $57.05
