Rady Children's Hospital is hiring for a Quality Assurance Specialist I for our Revenue Cycle Training and QA department. This position is remote but does require occasional on-site work at the Main Campus. Due to the nature of the duties, we are actively seeking candidates local to the San Diego region. 

JOB SUMMARY:

QA Specialist I staff are responsible for the regular review of real-time registration completion and accuracy for those departments in their focus areas. The QA Specialist is responsible for providing education and training related to all registration tasks end-users are required to complete and that are needed to bill successfully. The Specialist holds low performing users and departments accountable for correction of registration errors and are responsible for compilation of report packages which summarize top issues and provide real patient examples to be used in onsite focused review with staff. The QA Specialist I is a primary advocate for the registration policies and procedures developed by leadership, is evaluated on the ability of their focus areas to adhere to those requirements, and is a key contributor in discussions with leadership on needed policy updates and re-education. Finally, the QA Specialist is accountable for correction of aged registration related claim edits and DNBs that were not completed timely by department users.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

H.S. Diploma, GED, or Equivalent

5 years of experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree

Graduate from Technical Training School in related field of study

Experience with Epic EMR systems

Experience running and manipulating reports from an EMR system

Demonstrated ability in quality assurance and performing end-user support and training

The current salary range for this position is $24.26 to $33.36
